Rates, fees & payment

Weekend rates apply Friday after 6 PM through Sunday. Taxes and the 6% booking fee are extra. Prices are for your whole group; a 50% deposit confirms your charter and the balance is due before departure.

Details & ordering terms

When to order: Food and decorations must be ordered at least 48 hours before departure. Prosecco can be pre-ordered on the day of your tour. Other drinks are purchased onboard.

Deposits & payment: Food and decorations require a 50% deposit, with the balance due on your tour date. Other drinks are paid for at the end of the tour.

Taxes & gratuity: Food and paid drinks are subject to applicable taxes and 18% gratuity. Decorations are $99 plus tax, with no gratuity.

Decorations: Includes supply, delivery, setup and removal. Actual arrangements may vary from the photographs.

Please note: Outside food, drinks and decorations are not permitted.

Do I need to check in?

Every adult must complete guest check-in before arriving. The link is in your confirmation email and is also texted to the organizer on the morning of your tour. Please share it with everyone in your group.

How many guests can book a private yacht charter?

No. Smaller groups are welcome. The price covers your private yacht rental, rather than individual tickets. One yacht accommodates up to 12 guests; both accommodate up to 24. Children count toward capacity.

Do private Ottawa River boat tours operate in the rain?

Light rain does not automatically cancel a tour. Your Captain assesses conditions at the marina and along the route. If we cancel, you can choose a refund or future-tour credit.

Changes and cancellations follow your booking terms. Your booking stays unchanged until we confirm your request.

Trip Protection costs 10% plus tax and includes one fee-free date/time change and cancellation coverage for qualifying emergencies. Add it when booking or within 24 hours.

How long can we rent a private yacht on the Ottawa River?

Choose a 1-hour, 1.5-hour or 2-hour private charter. The price covers the yacht rental for your group, not a ticket per guest. Select your preferred departure time when booking.

What is the difference between a private charter and a shared yacht tour?

        We will enter your booking and email your confirmation. We will contact you only if there is a problem with your requested date or time. Then call to arrange a 50% deposit or use the confirmation email payment button to pay 100%.

          TERMS & CONDITIONS

          GUEST RULES

          1. Follow safety instructions. Listen to the safety briefing and follow the Captain’s and crew’s instructions. In an emergency, follow instructions immediately. Wait for crew assistance when boarding and disembarking, and move carefully on decks and steps.

          2. Supervise children. Toddlers and small children must wear an appropriately fitted lifejacket throughout the tour. The accompanying adult is responsible for supervising them. All guests must follow the Captain’s instructions about wearing lifejackets.

          3. Respect the crew and other guests. We have zero tolerance for unsafe, abusive or disruptive behaviour, or excessive intoxication. Boarding will be refused if you arrive intoxicated. Misconduct during the tour may result in removal at the nearest marina or the cruise ending early, without refund. In either case, police will be called to meet the yacht. The Captain has final authority over vessel operations and passenger safety.

          4. No swimming or water entry. Swimming and entering the water are prohibited. In an emergency, follow the Captain’s instructions.

          5. Follow onboard rules. No outside food, cake, drinks, bottled water or decorations. No smoking, vaping or recreational drug use onboard or on the docks. Remove shoes and socks after boarding unless the crew instructs otherwise; soft-soled, non-marking boat shoes are permitted. No heels or marking soles.

          6. Care for yourself, the yacht and the river. Stay hydrated and tell the crew if you feel unwell. Apply sunscreen before boarding, not onboard. No confetti, glitter or party poppers. Never throw anything overboard; hand rubbish to the crew.

          UNDERSTANDING THE RISKS

          These terms apply to the tour identified by the date and start time in this check-in form, including boarding and disembarking. Ottawa Yacht Tours means Ottawa Yacht Tours Inc.

          Yacht travel involves risks, including waves, wakes, changing weather, unexpected vessel movement, slippery surfaces, trips and falls, collisions, accidental immersion, hypothermia, capsizing, drowning, heat, dehydration, illness and the actions or mistakes of passengers, crew or others. These risks may cause injury, death or loss of belongings, even when safety precautions are taken.

          I understand these risks and agree to follow the guest rules and crew instructions. These terms are subject to applicable Canadian law, including maritime law. Nothing here excludes liability or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Ottawa Yacht Tours retains any protections and limits of liability available under applicable law.

          By checking below, I confirm that I have read and understood these terms and risks and agree to follow the guest rules. I will provide accurate check-in information and my own identification. If I list minors, I confirm that I am their parent or legal guardian, or have permission from their parent or legal guardian to check them in and accompany them, and accept responsibility for supervising them.
